Summer Club Nights will be taking place each Wednesday at the Bolton Arena from 8-10pm. There will initially be 2 courts available, but this will increase with demand.
Badminton Coaching will recommence on Friday 25th April at the Bolton Arena:
7-8pm beginners
8-9pm intermediates
9-10pm advanced / club night |

Forrest A finish 6th in the A section. A good place for the A team (and the highest for several years) who finished above Markland Hill C, Bury B, Hawkshaw B, and Metro.
Forrest 'B' have also fought their way back to section A after finishing top of the section B. The 'B' had a good run in the second half of the season, not dropping a point. In addition the 'B' team reached the final of the Jane Fletcher Memorial Cup.
Congratulations to Forrest 'C' who have finished 2nd in section C. The 'C' team will be promoted to section B for the 08/09 season after only losing two games to league winners DL Farnworth 'A'.
Forrest 'D' finish 5th in section C. Another good result for the team. Lets hope they can make a strong push for promotion next season!
Unfortunately, Forrest 'E' were not so lucky this season. It must have been tough with three of our teams in the same division. Good luck for next season, hope to see the team back into section C!
Well done to the 'F' team, who finished mid-table in the D Section.
This season, Forrest entered a team a team into the Whitefield League. They are currently 5th in the league with a couple of games to go.
In addition, Forrest have had a team in the Leigh League this season. Following the team reaching the Leigh League Cup semi-final they have now reached their divisional Cup Final. The Club wish the team good luck in their inaugural season! |

The Bolton Badminton League's Presentation Evening will be taking place from 7:30-12:00 at Horwich RMI on Friday 18th April. Both the B team and the C team will be receiving trophies. We hope to see all club members at the presentation evening. We are one of, if not the biggest club in the league, so lets show up in numbers, and congratulate the B and C teams on their promotions and cup success!
The Whitefield & District Badminton League Presentation Evening will be taking place on Friday 9th May at Ramsbottom Cricket Club. |

Following a great win over Markland Hill B in the semi finals of the Jane Fletcher Memorial Cup, the B team booked their place in the cup final and were expecting to play Markland Hill A, however, this wasn't meant to be.
The final, played at the Bolton Arena on the 19th March pitted the B team against Hawkshaw C, who narrowly missed out on promotion by a single game.
On the night the opposition were too strong and consistent for Forrest B. Hawkshaw finished leading by 37 points, and that lead was increased with a handicap of +70.
Thanks to those that played their part in the games leading up to the final and thanks to those who came to support the club on the night who were able to watch some textbook badminton!

Forrest B, currently pushing for promotion from B section took on a determined Forrest A in the Jane Fletcher Memorial Cup recently.
After overcoming a close battle with promotion contenders Deane A in the last round Forrest B ensured they had a full team to take on their closest rivals and friends!
On the night Forrest B held their own with some strong performances from Lisa Abbott and Matthew Green beating 1st couple Christine Seddon and Ron Welsh, and Becky Buxton and John Pilkington taking the 3rd mixed.
The pressure was on for both teams with high scoring in all the games, however strong performances from Lisa and Becky and John and Wayne Shurvinton pushed the levels all the way.
The scores finished 306 for the B team, 360 for the A team, with an additional 130 handicap for the B team the scores ended 436-306. Both teams were surprised at the handicap that was placed in the B teams favour, but they are hoping for one similar when they face A section high flyers Markland Hill B in the cup semi finals.
The second semi final consists of Hawkshaw C and A section champions Markland Hill A.
